PG support "ROCKS!"

In the words of the kids, PG support "ROCKS!" There is SO much going on at our school right now, sometimes it may be hard to keep things straight. THANK YOU to all the support you've been giving the many events at our school...you ARE making a difference!

*Pumpkin Week: 3rd grade is celebrating a week full of pumpkin activities. Currently, we're writing "Miss Thurin's Pumpkin Patch" stories and doing pumpkin morning activities. Later this week, we'll be doing pumpkin math, pumpkin descriptions, and painting our pumpkins for a decorating contest. Thank you for bring in pumpkins and for donating snacks for Friday!

*PG Supports our Troops: Our school is sending care packages to our servicemen and women abroad. Your donations will be greatly appreciated.
*PG Halloween Party: Thank you for bringing in candy for our upcoming Halloween Party. Because the party will take place during the day instead of nightime, things will run a little differently.

*Fire Prevention: Our school recently was visited by the Louisville and Nim. Firefighters. Thank you to those of you who reinforced fire safety at home and returned your house-check form!

3rd Grade Election Bake Sale: On Election Day, 3rd graders will run a bake sale with baked goods from our PG familes. If you're interested in donating a baked good, please let us know. Or, just stop by the gym that day to pick some up. All donations will go to Rob White's (LHS Vice-Principal) Family whose infant daughter just underwent a transplant recently in St. Louis.

*PG Steak Supper: Our annual Steak Supper is coming up in just a few short weeks. Thank you for donating your time and supplies for this huge fundraiser for our school! And, we hope to see you there!

*Veteran's Day: Do you know a Veteran that would be willing to come read or talk to a classroom? Please let us know!

*Box Tops: As always, we're collecting Box Tops for our school. A special from went home that can be returned by the 27th for a Spirit Store.
