On the Eve of Holiday Excitement!


Holiday excitement is upon is! I hope you're enjoying the start of the holiday season. Starting next week, 3T will be especially bustling with holiday spirit! So, this week we're really buckling down on the work. Here's a little summary of what our current topic of study is!

Spelling: Normal test this week.
Reading: Guided reading test this week on the story we've been ready since last week. SuccessMaker and independent reading is also part of our centers. Mini unit is dictionary skills.
Math: We've begun a new chapter and some important concepts this week include rounding (to tens and hundreds) and comparing numbers.
English: Finishing our chapter over verbs (test Wed.!)
S.S.: Chapter test with Mrs. Michael on Thurs.!
Science: Unit on Rocks

Holiday excitement to come:

~ Book fair this week
~"Christmas Around the Clock" performance practice on stage begins on Friday! Play practice will then be every afternoon next week till our performances!
~ Holiday art and craft projects
~ Pen Pal letters and a visit from their teacher on our last day!
~ Christmas movie on the big screen in the gym on the 20th
~ Christmas parties with the room mothers
~ Two assemblies next week
~ Secret Santa the last week of school
