As you come in for conferences over the next week, don't miss our art projects that are displayed outside our room. Two weeks ago, after reading "Dogzilla", students brought in their pet pictures to create their own "zilla" scene. Using chalk pastels, they created the background scene. After being sprayed with a coating, students added their "pets" along with some other scenery. Each project is so unique with great colors, too! Watch out these scenes are busting through
This past week, "The Dot" was the inspiration for our art work. The idea came from an art class I attended that week led by Mrs. Nichols and Mrs. Shumaker (NN). This book is a great read for inspiration and pride. Please ask your child about this and check out each of their special interruption of "the dot" as you come through our building this week! They look fantastic after some matting on bold colors.
