As you are aware, the 3rd Grade Achievement test are upon us! With 2 weeks to go, we at PG are working to prepare your child for these important State of Ohio assessments. Your child's learning throughout their time here at school will cumulate as they "show what they know" on this test. Although these tests are important, they, of course, are not the only assessment of your child's learning that is important. But, since these tests are high-stakes, many of you may wonder how you can help prepare your child for our the tests. Below are a list of ideas:
~ Make sure your child gets a good night's rest and healthy breakfast to start each day for learning.
~ Encourage your child to take his/her time on homework nightly and review their homework with him/her. In addition, take time to read and practice math facts nightly.
~ Ask questions! If you or your child has questions, we are here to help!
~ Emphasis the importance of the upcoming tests. Although we don't want the students to become stressed about the test, we do want to make sure they know their importance.
