Volunteering to Make a Difference!

A big THANK YOU to the 3rd grade for all their donations to the YWCA Homeless Shelter. Coordinating with our Social Studies standard of volunteering and doing service in our community, the 3rd grade had a guest speaker, Mrs. Thurin, who is a social worker at the homeless shelter. Then our classes collected new or gently used clothes, toys, and food from home. Here's just a sampling!
