It's a historical week!

This week is quite a historical one! Today, we are off school in observance to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. 80th birthday. To help our class understand the important impact he made on our nation, we began watching a movie called "Our Friend, Martin." Ask your child about it! This movie does a wonderful job on mixing a cartoon storyline with real-life historical clips.
Tomorrow, the inauguration of our new president will be a monumental event in our country's history. Because it's an event that will be one that will be timeless, we will try to watch parts of the inauguration live.

Hope you're staying warm!
