Change AND Making a Difference

November 4th was quite a day here at PG! Not only was it a day full of Elections, it was a day to Make a Difference!
As a class, students learned about the candidates in the Presidential Election and then on Election day, held a class vote. Even though our class-voted President, McCain, didn't win in the national election, students had a informative experience. Students understand that our country will be working to make our world a better place no matter if their favorite candidate was elected or not! The day after the election was a great opportunity to use the newspaper to discuss results and the election process.
During Election Day, the families of PG also showed their generosity. As PG was hosting a polling location, 3rd grade decided to create a bake sale (with contributions from all PG families). The bake sale raised over $300 for the White family! Thank you for all your support. We know this money will go to helping this family who deserves all our prayers and support!
